Museo ni Jose Rizal (Bahay ni Rizal) Review
Visit a replica of the birthplace of Dr. Jose Rizal in Museo ni Jose Rizal (also known as Bahay ni Rizal). The two-storey stone-and-hardwood house features six galleries that narrate the Filipino National Hero's life in six parts: Kaliwanagan, which is about the young Rizal's childhood and family in Calamba; Kapaligiran, which features the agricultural town of Calamba; Karunungan, which focuses on Rizal’s formal education at the Ateneo Municipal de Manila and Universidad de Santo Tomas; Bahay-na-Bato, which focuses on details of the Rizal house interiors; Unang Paglalakbay sa Europa, which focuses on Rizal's first journey to Europe, Spain, France and Germany - as well as the creation of novel Noli me tangere; and Pangalawang Paglalakbay sa Europa, which talks about Rizal’s second trip to Europe and his nationalist activities there.
