Ilocos Sur is also known for its scenic mountain routes that offer a unique view.  This includes the the Quirino Skyline and view deck in Quirino, Tirad Pass in Gregorio Del Pilar, the Bessang Pass/Tagudin-Cervantes-Sabangan Road/Mountain Province-Ilocos Sur Road, and  and Suyo-Cervantes Road.

Known as the Great Road of Santol, Bilagan Road is one of the recently unveiled highway attractions in La Union. The 10-kilometer upland road offers panoramic views of the highland barangays and mountains, as well as providing easier access to Simminublan Falls.

Candon City is a foodie's haven. Its famous Calamay, which is a native delicacy made of sticky rice flour, is made by family-owned businesses and pioneers of the city. The delicacy is typically made of a mixture of brown and white sugar, gata (young coconut milk), niyog (aged coconut) milk, and coconut meat strips.

The Philippines' first five-star hotel which first opened in July 4, 1912. The historic hotel has lived through World War II and remains to be operational. It houses plush rooms and suites, leisure amenities, restaurants such as the famous Café Ilang-Ilang, Champagne Room and Red Jade - all within the scenic Manila Bay.

CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) is the first world-class watersports complex in the Philippines and in Asia. The 6-hectare complex has a 6-point cable ski system for waterskiing and wakeboarding, wakeskating, and kneeboarding.
