Cape San Augustin Review
Cape San Agustin is a historical point in Brgy. Lavigan, Governor Generoso, which contains three towering lighthouses. It also contains "The Islet", which is the southeasternmost point of the Philippines. Climb up the lighthouses to get sweeping, 360-degree views of the Davao Gulf and Celebes Sea, stroll along the pink sands of Parola Beach, or see the huge boulder called "The Altar" - which is said to be said to be the site where Spanish missionary priest, St. Francis Xavier, celebrated the first Holy Eucharist and Holy Mass when he arrived in the Philippines in 1550. Getting to Cape San Agustin can be challenging due to its far flung location, but the view alone is worth it.

It is home to over 1,403 species of plants and animals, some of which are only found here. It is full of eco-tourism attractions such as the Mt. Hamiguitan World Heritage Park (Natural Science Museum and Eco-Interpretation Trail), Mossy-pygmy Forest (Bonsai Field), several waterfalls, the mythical Tinagong Dagat, Hidden Garden, Black Mountain, and Heaven’s Door at the Summit.
