Description

This ASEAN Heritage Park in Central Mindoro is the only place in the world where the biggest remaining population of the tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) are found. Covering 75,445 hectares hectares, it is mostly covered by grassland - where unique plants like the the Mindoro pine (Pinus merkusii) and the astoundingly blue Jade vine grow. The domain is inhabited by the indigenous Mangyan people.
