Mount Hilong-Hilong provides sanctuary to one of the most magnificent creatures in the country: the endangered Philippine Eagle. It is Northeastern Mindanao's highest peak that is gaining recognition not only as a scenic hiking destination, but also a birdwatching hotspot.

The Centennial Bitaug Tree is believed to be the oldest tree Philippines. It is an approximately 500-year-old Bitaog (Calophyllum inophyllum) with diameter of 290cm. The tree was once known as a haven for fireflies, which once served as an glowing marker for fishermen who set out at night time.

The Siargao International Surfing Cup is one of the most anticipated surfing events because of Siargao's famous Cloud 9 waves.
