Description
Formally known as the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz , Binondo Church was first established by Dominican priests in the late 1500s, Binondo Church is one of the most iconic historical churches in Manila. Designed by Spanish architect Domingo de la Cruz González, one of its most distinct features retained from its original structure is an octagonal bell tower. The church was named after Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint, who was born in Binondo in the 1600s.
