Description

The landlocked province of Bukidnon is the third-largest province in the country in terms of land area. Its vast plains and cool climate makes it fit to grow an abundance of agricultural produce such as pineapples, rice, coffee, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. Its name, which translates to "highlander" or "mountain-dweller", marks the abundance of mountains in the province - including Mount Dulang-dulang, the 2nd highest mountain in the country. It contains a wealth of indigenous culture, being home to several indigenous groups such as the Talaandig, Higaonon, Bukidnon, Umayamnon, Matigsalug, Manobo, and Tigwahanon.
