Description
The Divine Mercy Shrine is known for its 15.24-meter statue of Jesus as the Divine Mercy. The statue overlooks Macajalar Bay as well as landscaped gardens surrounding the steps that lead up to the shrine's focal point. It also has a church topped with a gigantic crown of thorns structure, a chapel which houses a replica of the Shroud of Turin, and outdoor faucets that provide spring water believed to have healing properties. Visitors are required to wear a skirt (for females) and loose pants (for males) which are provided at the entrance to cover any tight-fitting and/or revealiing outfits as per the church's rules.
