Description
Declared as National Cultural Treasures in 2015 under the serial inscription “Watchtowers of Ilocos Norte”, the watchtowers were built in
the 1850s as a vantage point for watching incoming invaders or attacks. Today, the ruins of the watchtowers as well as the tabacalera and nearby Currimao Lighthouse are still visible.
